ArenaPlus warns vs fake deepfake videos misusing brand

ArenaPlus has warned the public against malicious and misleading deepfake videos circulating online that falsely use the brand’s identity, stressing that the content is fake and unauthorized.

ArenaPlus said the videos did not originate from the company and were not created, approved, commissioned, produced, or released by the brand in any form. The company added that some of the videos even feature private individuals who have no connection to ArenaPlus.

According to the company, the fabricated content constitutes a deliberate misappropriation of ArenaPlus assets intended to deceive the public and falsely associate the brand with unauthorized messaging and endorsements.

ArenaPlus said the videos do not reflect the company’s views, operations, standards, or official communications, and any implication that the content is connected to the brand is false.

The sportsbook brand said it is treating the matter seriously and is taking steps to identify the source of the deepfake videos. In coordination with its parent firm, DigiPlus Interactive Corp., ArenaPlus said it is working with digital platform providers and relevant authorities to stop the circulation of the content and to pursue possible legal action.

The company urged the public to disregard the videos and refrain from sharing unverified content, reminding users to rely only on official ArenaPlus platforms and its verified social media accounts for accurate information.

ArenaPlus said it remains committed to protecting its brand, its players, and the integrity of the digital platforms where it operates.
