Property developer Megaworld Corp. is rolling out artificial intelligence (AI) powered homes to lure tech-savvy buyers and set a new benchmark for residential living.

The Andrew L. Tan-led firm said in a disclosure on Monday that the first implementation will be at Park McKinley West in Taguig City, where Megaworld is partnering with Samsung to integrate a full AI ecosystem into its condominiums.

Megaworld’s AI-powered residences will use the Samsung SmartThings system to predict residents’ needs. 

Through one app, users can control and customize their spaces with routines based on time, weather, device status, or behavior, letting the home adjust automatically.

The homes are designed for comfort and efficiency, with intelligent climate control, adaptive lighting, and voice-activated commands. The system also manages energy use, creating a convenient, personalized, and sustainable living experience.

Megaworld condominiums buyers can choose to turn their units into AI-powered homes by linking Samsung devices—such as TVs, washing machines, and air conditioners—through the SmartThings platform.

Megaworld first led the smart home movement in the country nearly a decade ago with its iTownships initiative, which combined digital technology, innovative design, and seamless connectivity. 

AI adoption in the country has been growing rapidly.

A study by London-based Public First shows that nearly half of Filipinos use AI tools at least once a week, with Generation Z driving the trend as 52 percent of users belong to this group.
