The Department of Education (DepEd) is preparing to maximize broadcast-based learning through the revitalization of DepEd TV, ensuring that students displaced by disasters and extreme weather can continue their lessons.

In partnership with the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI) and Solar Learning, DepEd will integrate curriculum-aligned programs into broadcast instruction. The initiative aims to maintain education in evacuation centers and disaster-affected communities while safeguarding the safety and well-being of learners.

DepEd TV is accessible through three primary modalities: Digital Free TV, Cable TV, and Direct-to-Home (DTH) Satellite.

Digital Free TV signals are available in the National Capital Region and key provinces including Bulacan, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Bataan, Pampanga, and Nueva Ecija. Coverage also extends to Baguio, Naga, Legazpi, Cebu, Iloilo, Davao, Cagayan de Oro, General Santos, and Zamboanga via BEAM Channel 31 and SBN Channel 21.

For cable and satellite users, the platform is accessible through:

• Cablelink: Channel 3 (Metro Manila)

• Cignal: Channel 146

• Satlite: Channel 182

Currently, the Knowledge Channel airs 16 hours of daily programming from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m., featuring K–12–aligned instructional videos for subjects such as Filipino, Math, English, Araling Panlipunan, and Science. These resources have been submitted to the DepEd Learning Systems Strand in preparation for the full revitalized launch.

DepEd will initially air a "bug version" of the channel while conducting a comprehensive review of the programming grid. This review ensures alignment with teachers’ daily learning logs and guarantees the content's relevance during class suspensions or "no-class" days ahead of the official launch.
