Dennis Trillo didn’t let the rumor that his wife Jennylyn Mercado hates his parents slide.
Ogie Diaz, in his online show, revealed Mercado was so appalled at Trillo’s parents that she does not let him visit them.
Trillo was quick to address the issue on his Facebook account.
“To those who do not know my wife, she is one of the kindest people in my life. It’s a privilege that she chose me to be with her forever,” he wrote in Filipino.
The actor almost pleadingly requested that his parents be spared from controversy as they are already old and are not in showbiz.
“My parents are already old. They are not from showbiz and they were living peacefully... please don’t give them an issue,” he wrote.
Admittedly, the Kapuso actor said that busy schedules have made impossible to spend time with his family. But he assured that all is well between them.
“It’s already 2026, let’s focus on being good people. Our country has so many problems, which need more attention. Life is short, lets choose to be happy and kind every day,” he finally wrote.
Every guesting is a blessing
Social media platforms of Ogie Diaz have become a repository not only of intriguing showbiz stories involving celebrities but also evolved to become a money-making venture.
A fellow entertainment writer requested Diaz to guest a starlet of intergalactic proportion to promote her launching movie. Diaz did not nix the request but just asked that he and his two co-hosts be paid P5,000 each. The guesting did not materialize as the starlet’s mom felt it was too pricey.
When Charo Santos and Dingdong Dantes guested on Diaz’s other online show, he played a prank on the former networking executive. Diaz was in cahoots with Dantes to perfectly test Santos’ emotions. That drew the ire of Santos who felt offended by Diaz’s prank.
And when the online interview wrapped up, Diaz was given a token of P1,500, which he refused to receive as it was below his rate.
Wait, it was ABS-CBN that gave a plethora of breaks to Diaz and this is how he repays them?
Did ABS-CBN make a monster out of Diaz? Just asking.
Tanggol survives deadly attack
The brewing rivalry between Coco Martin and Baron Geisler in FPJ’s Batang Quiapo took a major turn after Tanggol (Coco) survived Rockyboy’s (Baron) deadly attack.
After a long period of carefully plotting his revenge, Rockyboy, who was dressed in a serial killer costume, took advantage of a severely wounded Tanggol and attacked him in his sleep. However, Tanggol was able to outsmart Rockyboy and eventually escape his clutches.
Currently, Tanggol and his group of friends have no idea that the safehouse they are hiding at is owned by Rockyboy, who is in disguise and pretending to be their ally named Bernard.
Tanggol will also be in greater danger once he realizes that Rockyboy is also the son of one of his mortal enemies, Divina (Rosanna Roces).
