Man nabbed for stealing motorcycle in Taytay, Rizal

Authorities apprehended a suspect for allegedly stealing a motorcycle in Barangay Muzon, Taytay, Rizal, on Saturday morning.

The suspect, identified only by the alias Cesar, was initially tracked through a hot pursuit operation in Roma Street Dulo, Barangay Muzon, at around 1:50 a.m.

The 30-year-old female victim identified the suspect as the brother of her elder brother’s girlfriend, whose identity was confirmed through CCTV footage provided by a neighbor.

The victim subsequently informed barangay officials about the incident, prompting a follow-up operation to locate the stolen motorcycle.

After several hours, the victim received information that her motorcycle was sighted in Sitio Anak Pawis, Cainta, Rizal. The victim, together with barangay personnel, proceeded to the area, where witnesses pointed out the possible whereabouts of the motorcycle.

Upon arrival, they saw the suspect driving the stolen motorcycle, which led to a chase. However, the suspect managed to escape while still in possession of the motorcycle.

On 02 January 2026, at around 4:45 p.m., the victim received another call informing her that the motorcycle was seen at 763 Sta. Ana, Manila. She immediately coordinated with investigators from the Taytay Municipal Police Station for the recovery of the motorcycle and the possible arrest of the suspect.

Taytay police officers proceeded to Sta. Ana, Manila, and coordinated with the Sta. Ana Police Station and concerned barangay officials, resulting in the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of the stolen motorcycle.

The suspect was placed under police custody, and the motorcycle was successfully recovered. Appropriate charges are being prepared against the suspect.
