According to Korean outlet Soompi, K-pop label ADOR has released a major update on the status of NewJeans’ members and their exclusive contracts, confirming that member Danielle’s contract has been terminated while Hanni will continue her activities with the agency.

In a statement released on December 29, ADOR said it officially notified Danielle of her contract termination following months of legal disputes and internal discussions.

The agency also stated it plans to pursue legal accountability against a member of Danielle’s family and former CEO Min Hee Jin, whom they say contributed significantly to the conflict and the group’s halted activities.

Meanwhile, Hanni—who recently visited Korea with her family to meet with the agency—reportedly engaged in extensive talks with ADOR before deciding to respect the court’s ruling and remain with the label.

ADOR also confirmed that discussions with Minji are still ongoing as both sides work toward mutual understanding. Previously, the agency revealed that Haerin and Hyein expressed their willingness to continue with ADOR.

ADOR emphasized that the dispute stemmed from the members being exposed to “distorted and biased information” over a long period, which impacted trust between the artists and the company. The label said both sides now aim to rebuild that trust, clear misunderstandings, and address controversies surrounding the conflict.

Despite the upheaval, ADOR assured fans that it remains committed to resolving the matter amicably and helping NewJeans resume activities as soon as possible.
