The Malasakit Team of Christopher Bong Go visited Malita, Davao Occidental, on Wednesday, 17 December, to extend assistance to micro-entrepreneurs in the area, coordinating with both local and national government agencies.
During the activity, beneficiaries were introduced to the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa (PPG) program, a livelihood initiative advocated by Senator Go to support small-scale business owners as they rebuild and expand their sources of income.
Go said in a message.
The senator encouraged beneficiaries to continue growing their enterprises, stressing the value of hard work and perseverance in building sustainable livelihoods.
A total of 25 beneficiaries received food packs, shirts, pens, fans, and balls from Go’s Malasakit Team, while others were also given watches and pairs of shoes.
Go has consistently pushed for policies that promote local development and empower small businesses. He is among the co-authors and co-sponsors of Republic Act No. 11960, or the One Town, One Product (OTOP) Philippines Act, which aims to promote Filipino-made products and provide small-scale producers with greater access to markets.
