Filipino-Indian group saves Baby Aviannalyn with heart surgery in India

A successful life-saving open heart surgery was extended by Manjinder James Kumar, Founder and President of the Filiipino Indian Commerce and Welfare Society Inc (FICWSI), to Baby Aviannalyn performed in Bengaluru, India.
Aviannalyn had serious heart defect since birth and required immediate surgery
The mother and the baby left the Philippines on 31 October 2025 and arrived in the Philippines on 16 December 2025
The humanitarian effort was made possible through the invaluable assistance of Rotarian Nischal Pandey, Charter President, Past Dist. Governor Rtn. Rajendra Rai Managing trustee of Rotary Needy Heart Foundation (RNHF), Rtn. Bimal Desai Rotary Club of Bengaluru, Midtown and Rtn.Rajiv Srivastava.
Their dedication and commitment played a vital role in ensuring that Baby Aviannalyn received timely and critical medical care.
The surgery marks a powerful example of cross-border cooperation and compassion, uniting Filipino and Indian organizations in a shared mission to save lives and support families in need.
Founder James Kumar expressed deep gratitude to all partners involved, emphasizing that this initiative reflects the core values of service, empathy, and global solidarity upheld by the Society.
