The streets of Manila came alive on December 2, 2025, as Miss Universe 2025 3rd Runner-Up Ahtisa Manalo received a hero’s welcome during her long-awaited homecoming parade. From the historic Manila City Hall to the bustling Mall of Asia Complex, the celebration brought together thousands of Filipinos eager to honor the queen who carried the Philippine flag with grace, brilliance, and unwavering heart.

Honored in the Capital: “Ambassador of Hope”

The festivities began at the Manila City Hall, where Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno Domagoso personally welcomed Ahtisa and paid tribute to her impact on the nation. In a moving message, he hailed her as an “Ambassador of Hope,” acknowledging the inspiration she has given to young Filipinos across the country.

“Thank you for being an inspiration… kailangan talaga natin ng inspirasyon ngayon. Ang hirap ng buhay ng tao. You could be an inspiration to any teenager in the country,” Mayor Isko told her during the ceremony.

As a mark of deep appreciation, the mayor presented Ahtisa with the Key to the City—a symbolic honor reserved for individuals who have made exceptional contributions in their fields. It was Manila’s way of expressing gratitude for her achievement and the pride she brought to the Filipino people.

Mayor Isko also shared his delight that Ahtisa’s first step home was in Manila, saying, “Manila is the Kilometer Zero — where dreams and success begin.”
