Liza Soberano draws flak for pricey merchandise

Liza Soberano has established an online shop.

Too many netizens were aghast at the pricey clothes that Soberano posted in her online shop. They were turned off after seeing the Manila Bomber Jacket priced at $225 and the even pricier The Moment Trench Coat pegged at $315.

“Her prices are way too expensive, especially for someone not known in the US. That’s how much a Coach bag would cost.”

“Maraming leather jackets na known brand na cheaper pa than her price.”

“It’s not even leather??? No way. I’d pay for that price but with full grain leather.”

“True.  Mas mahal pa nga lahat yan than Taylor Swift clothing that I regularly buy.  Does she really have a big fan base?”

Vice Ganda defends ‘juliet juliet’ tweet 

It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda defended herself from a netizen’s claim that she disrespected Thai artist Jeff Satur when he performed during the Miss Universe 2025 coronation night.

“Ay juliet juliet ang performer ha! Sana nagsabi kayo para pinapunta ko jan si Stell! #MissUniverse2025 (Hey, the performer is repeating himself.  Hope you just inform us so that I would have sent Stell),” Vice Ganda posted on X (formerly Twitter).

A disgruntled fan of the Thai singer reacted: 

“Ngayon lang me nakakita nito (it’s only now that I see this), not to hate lang ha, pero medyo nakaka-offend po ah? We’re a fan of Jeff Satur, proud nga kami na nandun si Jeff tas i-disrespect niyo lang po (We’re proud that Jeff was there and then you’ll disrespect him) Yes po, you’re famous and I don’t hate you for that po, I love your jokes nga po eh pero the way diyan na pilit yung high note... Soon, kung di niyo bet na mga Thai kakanta, KAYO KUMANTA NAPAKADALI DIBA (Soon, if you don’t like that Thais are singing, you just sing, it’s easy, right)?”

Miffed, Vice Ganda retorted:  “Ha? Anong (What) disrespect? I never said anything ill about the performer. It was you who chose to give it an ill meaning that’s why you’re pissed. So kung na-bad trip ka, eh desisyon mo yun (If you got offended, that’s your decision). Di ‘to (This is not) gaslighting. Sa true lang tayo. Wag namang gawing big deal lahat ng joke (We just have to be true. Don’t make all jokes a big deal).”

“Did I say anything bad about him? Juliet juliet means inulit. Masama yun? Yung ka OA-yan mo ang unacceptable (Juliet juliet means repeated. Is that bad?  What’s unacceptable is your overreaction)!” Vice Ganda added.
