Philippine Airlines (PAL) has resumed its seasonal nonstop Manila–Sapporo flights just in time for the winter travel season, with the first flight taking off on Monday morning.
The flag carrier will operate the route until 27 March next year, reinstating a key link to the capital of Hokkaido — a destination known for its ski resorts, nightlife, and the iconic Sapporo Snow Festival.
PAL President Richard Nuttall said the reopening of the route supports the growing demand between the two destinations while providing travelers renewed access to the airline’s signature service and hospitality.
Flights to New Chitose Airport will run every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday using PAL’s 168-seat Airbus A321neo, which features 12 business-class seats and 156 economy seats.
The seasonal flights also open another gateway for Japanese tourists visiting the Philippines, complementing the flag carrier’s Japan network, which includes Osaka Kansai, Nagoya, Fukuoka, Tokyo Haneda, and Tokyo Narita, along with direct flights from Cebu to Osaka and Narita.
