

The Province of Aurora celebrated the Indigenous Peoples Day at the Aurora Pacific Economic Zone Authority (APECO), Barangay Estevez, Casiguran, on 6 to 7 November 2025.
The said celebration honors culture, rights, and the important role of the IPs in community development.
IPMRs, chieftains, NCIP officials, and members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan including Lloyd Alsen A. Delos Reyes, Sherwin Amatorio, Mariano Tangson, Norma V. Palmero, Menard M. Amansec, Ryan Austin K. Tolentino, Philippe Jacobson A. Galban, Sheenalyn B. Tablang, and Jennifer A. Araña were present during the event.
NCIP Region 3 Regional Director Atty. Roman Antonio and Vice Governor Atty. Patrick Alexis Angara gave their messages, confirming culture and stronger protection of IP rights.
During the first day, the Binibini at Ginoong Katutubo 2025 was held to showcase the various tribes' talents, traditional garb, and culture.
Yungle D. Sudaypan was held ad the Ginoong Katutubo while Elaizah Micol C. Lazo was crowned Binibining Katutubo. The Igorot tribe of Dipaculao and other IPs from the province also made their presentation during the event.
During the second day, a message and inspirational speech was given by the Board Members and Ronie P. Caanawan, Provincial Officer of NCIP Aurora.
A food fest, PhilHealth briefing, and traditional games such as tug of war, archery, kadang-kadang, bunong braso, and palosebo were also held.
Some cultural presentations were conducted by the Diagyan Settlement, Bayanihan Youth IP Dancers, CTS Casiguran, Ilongot and Ifugao communities, as well as migrant tribes from the northern part of the province.
The event ended with the awarding ceremonies, raffle draw, and closing remarks by Provincial IPMR Hon. Randy O. Salo, who expressed gratitude for the cooperation and active participation of all the IPs in the province.
