Four Chinese nationals were arrested in separate operations in Burgos, Ilocos Norte, for alleged violations of immigration laws, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported Friday.
The first two arrests took place on 6 November, involving 43-year-old Jiang Zhengwei and 41-year-old Chen Zhengji, who were apprehended at a restaurant in Barangay Bayog. Authorities said the pair were employed by companies other than their registered petitioning employer and had failed to report a change of residence.
The other two suspects, 45-year-old Li Shihan and 33-year-old Long Litao, were arrested in Barangay Poblacion. BI said they were working for a company in Ilocos Norte despite being petitioned to work in Taguig City.
All four are currently detained at the BI Warden Facility in Bicutan pending documentation and verification.
