The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has expanded its partner store services with Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI), enabling customers to withdraw cash for free at any Robinsons-affiliated store through the BPI app.
Initially announced in August, the service is now live across more than 300 RRHI food category stores, including Robinsons Easymart, Robinsons Supermarket, No Brand, The Marketplace, Shopwise, Robinsons Department Store and Toys“R”Us.
Under the partnership, BPI clients can withdraw cash by generating a barcode via the BPI app, which can be scanned at the cashier — no ATM card required. Depending on the brand, users can create up to five barcodes per day, with a minimum withdrawal of P100 and a maximum of P10,000, all without transaction fees.
‘What true convenience means’
“That is what true convenience means — thinking about what our customers need. The added advantage here is simple: they don’t have to make an extra trip just to withdraw cash,” said BPI president and CEO TG Limcaoco.
“They can do it while doing their groceries or while shopping at the department store. That’s the kind of seamless experience we aim for, and that’s what this partnership between BPI and Robinsons Retail is all about,” he added.
Beyond withdrawals, RRHI stores now also offer account openings and applications for loans and insurance, with deposit acceptance to be rolled out in select locations later this year.
Shared commitment
The collaboration reflects BPI and RRHI’s shared commitment to integrating essential financial services into everyday spaces, promoting financial inclusion through accessibility and convenience.
BPI said the expansion marks one of the largest off-branch banking rollouts in the country, allowing over six million BPI app users to manage their cash needs without visiting an ATM.
“This partnership is all about making banking possible, accessible, and part of everyday life. It’s about helping our customers manage their finances in a way that’s simple, seamless, and right where they need it,” said RRHI Food Segment managing
