Television host and actress Kris Aquino shared a heartfelt update on Instagram, reflecting on her continuing health journey, family life and lessons in resilience.
In a lengthy post, Aquino began by referencing a song lyric — “I did some things that I want to take back” — as she recalled a photo from earlier this year during one of her “baby dose trials” when her blood pressure spiked to 186/119. She reminisced about a person who supported her through that difficult period, describing the moment with bittersweet nostalgia: “Misty water-colored memories of the way we were.”
The “Queen of All Media” also gave a glimpse into her life in the province, describing how she and her two sons are adjusting to being a “nuclear family.”
Despite having nurses and assistants to help her manage her condition, Aquino said she enforces simple family traditions such as gadget-free dinners and shared bonding moments.
She opened up about her struggles with fibromyalgia and chronic bone pain, which worsen in cold weather.
“The bone pain is awful because of the weather. But this is now part of my life and it hasn’t broken my spirit yet,” she wrote.
Aquino also shared a touching exchange with her son, Bimby, after telling him that his late grandmother’s house would now be their home. “He looked at me angry and said, ‘No, that’s Lola’s house,’” she recalled. “A smile that started in his eyes… was full of love and gratitude.”
Ending her post with her trademark optimism, Aquino declared, “Probinsyana na si KCA,” and signed off with her familiar hashtag #LoveLoveLove, while humorously asking Lazada to verify her account and noting her hope that a walk-in bathtub she found online is “hopefully legit.”
