For 5 years, industry insiders kept wondering why director Nijel de Mesa was shooting almost on a monthly basis without a release date. Turns out he was creating his own streaming platform to showcase what his company has to offer.
NDM+ (or ndmplus.com) touts itself as the “Home of Unique Storytelling” and holds the library of all-original content produced by his multimedia company, NDMstudios.
Now, award-winning movies with his creative partner, Arci Muñoz (such as Malditas in Maldives, Hongkong Kailangan Mo Ako, Mama ‘San?, Subtext, True or False Positive etc.) can now be enjoyed globally through their Singapore-based platform.
In a historic feat and stroke of luck (all bearing the number 25), the platform was launched on 25 October at the annual NDM Expo in Funan, Singapore to celebrate their 25th year as a company.
Prestige and platinum subscribers from the Philippines can even watch his award-winning hit musical version of Subtext this November for free — as a part of their NDM+ experience promos.
They have also launched the new “Direku” collectible which is a commemorative figurine based on their popular NDM Animation division’s character. Board of Advisers Daiana Menezes, Will Devaughn, and Carlo Alvarez were all in attendance at the NDM Expo and gave speeches that clarify the intent of NDM+ and its company which is to hopefully create more jobs for people in the film industry.
