Raymart Santiago responds to Inday Barretto’s aria

Former action star Raymart Santiago broke his silence on issues raised by Inday Barretto while defending her daughter Claudine Barretto.

In a series of posts on his Instagram Stories, Santiago articulated his thoughts about his mother-in-law’s tell-all interview with Ogie Diaz.

“Ilang araw ko rin pinagisipan kung kailangan ko pa bang personal na magsalita. Kahit mas matimbang sa akin na manahimik na lang, siguro ay kailangan ko rin ilabas kahit paano ang aking saloobin para sa aking kapayapaan,” Santiago initially wrote. (Was thinking for a few days if I need to personally speak. Even if it weighs more for me to stay silent, maybe I need to speak out my thoughts for my peace).

Santiago said he kept silent for the past 13 years and go through the right process. It was hard for him as the name he inherited from his parents was tarnished because of lies and wrong accusations. It was painful as they have children who are old enough to understand what they hear and what they read on social media. He was dismayed because other people felt they were part of their lives.

Anyhow, Santiago believes that silence is better for the family, knowing that those who really know them know the truth.

Santiago is aware of the disparaging accusations of mommy Inday who he considered as his second mom.

What he’s surprised at is that the person who knows her daughter well, the mom who profusely asked for forgiveness in the past, now was full of lies. He is surprised at how she is able to muster guts to face the public to embarrass her family and disparage people.

Admitting that his relationship with Claudine was far from perfect, Santiago said he can’t and will not do all accusations hurled against him. He said he fulfilled his promises to Barretto’s dad, Pikey, and gave his children more than what is needed.

In conclusion, Santiago is asking for respect and let time be the judge of the truth.

Fyang Smith considers JM Ibarra her ‘biggest plot twist’

Fyang Smith enamoredly called JM Ibarra, her leading many in Shake, Rattle & Roll: Evil Origins not only her best friend but the biggest plot twist in her life.

“What I am thankful for aside from the many work and blessings, he came into my life. He is the biggest plot twist of my life,” Smith said during the pocket interview for them for the Shake, Rattle & Roll promo.

“I’m so happy that he came to my life. That’s his impact to me. He is one of the unexpected people who came into my life who will have a big impact to my life, who will be a big help to me,” she added, noting that “We’re best friends, we’re super close friends.”

To be featured in the second episode of the latest installment of SRR and to be in a movie, which is one of the official entries in the forthcoming Metro Manila Film Festival, is a good break for Smith.

“I really love horror. It’s like I can watch horror movies in just one sitting. And when I learned that we will have a horror movie, I was really glad. It has long been my dream to do a horror movie, much more a Shake, Rattle & Roll movie. It’s like I wasn’t born yet and there is already SRR,” she said.
