Welcome to the future with Xian Lim

Manila Fashion Week officially made its grand debut last night, and Viktor set the bar sky-high — or should we say, skyline-high in a dystopian cityscape.

The brand opened the inaugural fashion week with a bold, cinematic presentation that married sharp tailoring with streetwise grit, blurring the line between fashion fantasy and futuristic rebellion.

Bathed in moody lighting and atmospheric beats, the runway transported guests into a world inspired by Blade Runner 2049 — one where style survives even the apocalypse. “We were inspired by watching Blade Runner 2049,” Viktor shared.

“From there, we thought — what would people wear in this dystopian world? And of course, people would still be fashionable.”

The collection played with texture and tension — denim clashed beautifully with leather, vegan leather, and wool, while locally produced fabrics grounded the futuristic vision with a proudly Filipino edge. It was a craftsmanship, modernized for a world that never stops evolving.

“We wanted to showcase these collections since we’re known for custom-made jeans and jackets,” Viktor said. “This collection shows the range of what we can offer to this growing market.”

As models strutted down the runway, one familiar face stood out — actor and creative Xian Lim, whose confident walk embodied the show’s sleek, rebellious energy.

Dark, daring and distinctly Filipino lit the fuse for a new era of fashion revolution.
