The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) on Thursday released the results of the October 2025 Physician Licensure Examination (PLE), with a graduate from the University of Santo Tomas (UST) topping the list of successful examinees.
Kharam Baricawa Molbog of UST led the topnotchers with a score of 91.17 percent.
Out of 5,900 examinees, 4,570 passed the exam, representing a national passing rate of 77.46 percent, according to the PRC. The results for three examinees were withheld — one due to an ongoing investigation into possible rule violations and two others because of incomplete documentation.
The Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) emerged as the top performing school, with 104 of its 105 examinees passing, earning a 99.05 percent passing rate.
To qualify for the best performing school category, institutions must have at least 100 examinees.
The PLE, the second regular physician board exam for the year, was held on 4, 5, 11, and 12 October in testing centers across 13 cities: Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao, and Zamboanga.
