LINGAYEN, Pangasinan — The provincial government of Pangasinan has launched an investigation into the disappearance of a newborn infant from Lingayen District Hospital, officials confirmed on Monday.

The probe began after the provincial government received a formal complaint from the family of the missing child. The infant, who was 3 days old, was reportedly taken from the hospital on Sunday by an individual posing as a nurse, according to a social media post that went viral.
