A newborn baby is now in good condition and receiving appropriate care at a hospital in Baguio City, hours after being left by the mother on Tuesday morning.
A resident of Barangay Pinget, Baguio City, heard a baby crying outside their house. Since it was 4:00 a.m., the homeowner decided to go outside and check where the crying was coming from.
The resident discovered a baby with no clothing. The placenta and umbilical cord had been placed inside a bag. The resident immediately called the authorities and rushed the baby to the hospital.
An investigation is currently being conducted by the police to determine the identity of the baby's mother. Authorities are also seeking the public’s help in identifying those responsible.
