Rains enhanced by the southwest monsoon (habagat) are set to affect parts of Northern Luzon on Sunday, 10 August, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported.
Tropical Storm Podul, which remains outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR), was last spotted 2,085 kilometers (km) east of extreme Northern Luzon.
It had maximum sustained winds of 95 kilometers per hour (km/h) and gusts of up to 115 km/h.
Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms will affect the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Cagayan Valley.
Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country are set to experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.
