BAGUIO CITY — The family and relatives and the municipal government of Luna, Apayao are appealing to anyone who have information on the whereabouts of a policeman who was reported missing inside the Philex Mining Camp at Ampucao, Itogon, Benguet.
The cop was identified as Patrolman Aaron Langab Blas, 25 years old, a resident of San Gregorio, Luna, Apayao. He was assigned to the First Police Mobile Force Company Apayao.
Blas is a trainee in Basic Internal Security Operations Course at the Philippine National Police (PNP) BISOC Training Grounds at the Dam 2 of Philex Mines in Ampucao, Itogon. He was last seen around 5:30 p.m. on 14 July 2025, in the Zigzag area near Dam 2, Philex Mines, Ampucao.
The patrolman was said to be participating in a land navigation exercise as part of his PNP BISOC training when he went missing.
His family is appealing to miners and personnel in the area to assist in the search effort as there is a possibility that he may have fallen into one of the manholes in the area.
Blas’ kins also appealed to people who have any information to contact the Public Information Office (PIO) of Luna or the following mobile phone numbers: 09776362197, 09451355938, 09158136488, 09753071322 and 09565776934.
Also, a 78-year-old resident of Barangay Turod, Luna, Apayao was also reported missing since 14 July. Guadalupe “Openg” Tugaoen Ubaldo was last seen at around 9:30 a.m. of the said date.
Her kin appealed to people who have any information to contact the Luna PIO.
