Veteran comedienne and film icon AiAi Delas Alas has taken to social media to share an open letter addressed to Starbucks Philippines, urging the coffee giant to improve clarity around its pet policy in stores.

In a calm and respectful post shared on her official account, AiAi recounted a recent visit to a Starbucks branch with her small dog Sailor, who was secured inside a pet stroller. According to the actress, she and her pet were already comfortably settled inside the café and had been enjoying their drinks for about 20 to 30 minutes before a staff member informed her that pets are not allowed inside the premises.

“By then, it had started raining outside, making it uncomfortable and inconvenient to leave,” she wrote.

While Delas Alas made it clear that she fully respects store policies, she emphasized the need for clearer communication. Her primary suggestion? A prominent sign at the store entrance explicitly stating the rule, such as: “No Pets Allowed (Except Service Animals).”

“If I had been aware of the restriction from the start, I would have chosen a different establishment that accommodates pet owners, especially during inclement weather,” she noted, highlighting that her feedback was not a complaint but a constructive recommendation to enhance the customer experience.

She closed the letter by identifying herself not just as a loyal customer, but as a “responsible pet owner and fur mom of a service dog, Sailor,” advocating for consideration and empathy for fellow pet lovers.
