The Bureau of Immigration on Friday confirmed the arrest of a Spanish national for alleged abuse and harassment.

The Spanish national was identified as Pablo Escudero Pardo, 58. BI’s Fugitive Search Unit arrested the suspect last Wednesday at Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig City following a complaint of abuse and harassment from his partner.

Records also indicated that Pardo has been overstaying in the Philippines for four years, with his work visa expired in 2021.

Immigration Commissioner Joel Viado said the bureau will continue to pursue foreigners who have been abusing visa privileges and doing undesirable actions in the country.

Pardo is currently at the Bureau’s Warden Facility in Taguig City pending deportation and local charges.
