Samsung launches Galaxy Z Fold7, Z Flip7, and Watch8 with AI upgrades

Samsung is ushering in a new wave of intelligent tech with the launch of its latest devices: the Galaxy Z Fold7, Galaxy Z Flip7, and Galaxy Watch8 series. Unveiled on 9 July 2025, the new lineup combines premium design with powerful on-device AI to elevate mobile productivity, creativity, and wellness tracking.

Leading the release is the Galaxy Z Fold7, the thinnest and lightest foldable Samsung has ever made. It boasts a reengineered 8-inch AMOLED display, a new Armor FlexHinge for added durability, and a 200MP wide-angle camera. The device runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chip and comes integrated with One UI 8 and Galaxy AI, enabling multitasking, real-time translation, and generative image editing on the large screen.

Alongside it is the Galaxy Z Flip7, a pocket-sized powerhouse that now features an edge-to-edge 4.1-inch FlexWindow for hands-free interaction and updates on the go. It’s powered by a 3nm processor and a 4,300mAh battery — the largest yet in a Flip device. The Flip7 brings ProVisual Engine enhancements for better selfies, new FlexCam tools, and even Samsung DeX support for workstation-level use. Samsung also announced the Z Flip7 FE, offering a more accessible foldable experience without skimping on style or functionality.

Completing the trio is the Galaxy Watch8 series, including the Watch8, Watch8 Classic, and the rugged Watch Ultra. Redesigned for all-day comfort and precision tracking, the new watches come with brighter displays, a 3nm processor, and advanced health features like personalized sleep coaching, circadian rhythm guidance, antioxidant index measurement, and Samsung’s new AI-powered Energy Score. The Watch8 series is the first to launch with Google’s Gemini AI assistant and Wear OS 6 out of the box, allowing users to manage schedules, workouts, and messages with natural voice commands.
