Long before the concert tours, TV shows, and sold-out performances, Angeline Quinto was just a young dreamer nervously boarding her first plane. In a heartfelt and humorous post on social media, the singer-actress took fans down memory lane, recalling an unforgettable moment from her Star Power days — one that still makes her smile.
“Akala ko noon, never kong mae-experience to. Parang laging first time parin yung pakiramdam,” she wrote, sharing how her first-ever flight was both exciting and slightly terrifying.
It was a trip to Iloilo with her fellow Star Power contestants. Angeline, still a hopeful in the competition back then, admitted she barely slept for two nights out of sheer excitement.
“So eto na, nung nasa eroplano na kami ng Star Power Girls, biglang may umusok sa loob ng plane, nataranta ako — normal lang pala yun!”
The story took a funny twist when she recalled being asked how she felt after landing.
“Sabi ko, mabuti naman po, kaya lang parang mejo nahilo ako. Baka jetlag po. Kasi ang alam ko once makasakay ka ng plane, automatic may jetlag ka.”
Now a seasoned traveler with dozens of flights under her belt, Angeline laughed at her younger self’s innocence—posting the memory mid-flight, this time calmly sipping coffee on her way back from Cebu.
“Ngayon, walang jetlag kasi sa Cebu kami galing!” she quipped.
Moments like these—simple, sincere, and delightfully real—remind us that even stars had firsts. And for Angeline Quinto, that first flight wasn’t just a journey through the skies; it was a step toward stardom.
