The Cebu Police Provincial Office (CPPO), in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Region VII, conducted a successful buy-bust operation that led to the arrest of a high-value target and the seizure of an estimated P1.7 million worth of illegal drugs in Barangay Dapitan, Cordova, Cebu, on the evening of 3 July.
The regional priority target, an ex-convict, was caught red-handed selling and possessing illegal drugs. Charges against the suspect are currently being prepared.
Meanwhile, the confiscated 250 grams of suspected illegal drugs have been submitted for forensic examination.
Acting Provincial Director of the CPPO, PCOL Jovito Atanacio, issued a stern warning to drug traffickers, emphasizing the police force’s unwavering commitment to their duty.
“This arrest is a clear warning to those who continue to destroy lives and communities through the drug trade — your days are numbered. The Cebu Police will not back down. We are committed to protecting every family, every community, and every future," he said.
