Singer-songwriter and actor Ice Seguerra recently shared a message of gratitude to friends, fans, and supporters following the passing of his mother, Nanay Caring. In a social media post, Ice thanked those who offered condolences, visited the wake, or sent messages during their family’s time of mourning.
“Hi guys. I want to express my appreciation sa lahat ng mga nakiramay sa aming pamilya,” Ice wrote. “Sa mga nagpunta sa burol at sa inyong lahat na nag-message at nag-comment.”
Nanay Caring, a steady presence throughout Ice’s life and career, passed away surrounded by her family. In his post, Ice shared how his parents’ strength and values continue to guide him through this difficult time.
“Even in death, life goes on for the rest of us,” he said. “So our family is moving forward, now guided by the spirits of our Mama and Daddy. We were blessed for many years because they taught us to stand strong and be independent. Na walang ibinibigay sa atin ang buhay na hindi natin kakayanin. They taught us to be courageous. And we will make them prouder than ever.”
Known for speaking openly about the role of his parents in his life, Ice shared that even in grief, their influence continues to shape how he moves forward.
“If there’s one thing I’ve learned about life,” he added, “it is that it is unpredictable. Your loved one can be gone in the blink of an eye. So always live in the present, express your love, and learn to forgive.”
As Ice navigates this personal loss, his message resonated with many online — offering a reminder of the importance of family, resilience, and finding comfort in community.
“Thank you again for letting me share my grief with all of you,” he wrote, closing his post with quiet appreciation.
