The residence of former President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City is officially up for sale, according to his longtime partner, Honeylet Avanceña.

In an interview on Saturday night, Avanceña confirmed that the family has vacated the property and no longer lives there. She expressed the deep sadness she feels every time she visits the now-empty home.

“It pains me every time I go inside. I’m the only one who goes there. There are four housekeepers, but no owner. We abandoned it after what happened,” she said in Filipino.

Avanceña added that she could no longer sleep in the house after lawyers advised the installation of security cameras — even inside private areas. “I cannot sleep there anymore because the lawyers asked us to install CCTV, even inside the bedroom,” she said.

Duterte’s youngest daughter, Veronica “Kitty” Duterte, posted photos of the house on social media, revealing a tarpaulin at the gate that reads “house & lot for sale.” The image also shows two life-sized standees of Duterte placed outside the property. Her caption read: “For sale DUTERTE Family house,” followed by a house emoji and three crying emojis.

No further information on the asking price or potential buyers has been released as of this writing.
