A 52-year-old construction worker listed as a most wanted person was arrested in Cainta, Rizal on Thursday afternoon in connection with a 2008 rape case involving his pregnant wife.
The suspect, identified by police only as “Allan,” a foreman and resident of Barangay San Juan, was apprehended by operatives of the Cainta Municipal Police Station around 2:10 PM in Barangay Sto. Domingo.
According to authorities, Allan is facing charges of qualified object rape, with the court recommending a bail of P200,000.
Investigators said the case stemmed from an incident on 31 December 2008, when Allan allegedly inserted a bottle into the private parts of his then-pregnant wife, causing severe bleeding and a fetal infection.
The suspect is now detained at the Cainta Municipal Police Station custodial facility for proper documentation and disposition. Authorities said the court that issued the arrest warrant has been notified of the arrest.
