  • Personnel of the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) located a 32‑year‑old driver in Lipa City, Batangas and arrested him for allegedly taking P200,000 in entrusted funds from his employer.

Initial investigation revealed that on Sunday, 13 September, the suspect was given money intended for the repair of his employer’s vehicle and for the purchase of an LPG tank and accessories in Barangay Batasan Hills, Quezon City.

The suspect allegedly failed to return and became unreachable through his mobile phone, prompting his employer to file a missing-person report.

Follow-up efforts later traced the suspect near a convenience store in Lipa City, where he was positively identified by a co-worker. Responding officers were informed that the suspect had allegedly failed to account for the entrusted funds and had left without the employer’s knowledge or consent.

The suspect was immediately taken into custody and brought to Batasan Police Station for documentation and disposition. He will be referred to the Office of the Prosecutor for inquest proceedings for qualified theft under Article 310 of the Revised Penal Code.
