In a 24 Oras report, the veteran entertainer emphasized the potential impact on audiences, particularly those who rely heavily on social media for information.

Michael V. said he is prepared to escalate the matter legally if the perpetrator repeats the offense.

Meanwhile, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) has responded to a surge in digital threats.

In collaboration with telecommunications companies, the DICT has launched a unified dashboard to detect and address digital deception more efficiently.

The initiative includes technical coordination with telecom providers and is being implemented alongside the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC), and the National Privacy Commission (NPC), which will oversee policy and regulatory enforcement.
