Before First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos left for Singapore on 14 July to accompany President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on his working visit, the first days of her week were spent attending to her tasks — from providing sustenance to the vulnerable sector to rubbing elbows with members of the media.
Mrs. Marcos on Monday visited the city of Malabon to join in the rice distribution under her husband’s uplift program.
“It was so touching to meet the 3,000 beneficiaries from Barangay Hulong Duhat and spend time listening to their stories. Maraming salamat, Mayor Jeannie Sandoval and the city government of Malabon, for helping bring this program closer to the people. Mula sa puso, para sa pamilya (From the heart, to the family),” the First Lady wrote on her official Facebook page.
Afterward, she proceeded to the Centro de Turismo in Intramuros, Manila, where she met with select members of the media to provide updates on the eGovPH Super App — the government’s unified digital platform that integrates public services into a single application, making transactions more convenient and improving access to government services.
“I had the pleasure of welcoming some of our distinguished members from the media to Intramuros. I was happy to hear that they enjoyed the museum tour and our other heritage sites,” she said.
“We also introduced them to the popular eGovPH Super App, which makes government services more accessible for every Filipino. I hope more ‘kababayan’ will have the opportunity to experience the new Intramuros and discover the convenience of availing of essential government services through eGovPH,” she said.
As of June, the Department of Information and Communications Technology said more than 56 million people downloaded the app and more than 800 million transactions were made, signifying the rapid adoption of the eGovPH app by Filipinos.
