National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Jaime Santiago addressed the media during a press conference in Pasay City on Monday, 2 June 2025, presenting individuals arrested in two separate kidnapping cases. The first suspect is allegedly involved in a kidnap-for-ransom incident on 2 May, where two Chinese nationals and one Korean were abducted in Nasugbu, Batangas. Santiago said the NBI, together with the Philippine National Police-Anti-Kidnapping Group (PNP-AKG), has filed charges against the suspects.
