Singer and social media sensation Chloe San Jose bares her soul in her latest EP, CHLOE ANJELEIGH… For Real, released earlier this month under Star Pop. The seven-track collection marks a new chapter in Chloe’s transition from internet personality to emerging music artist.
At her EP’s media launch, Chloe highlighted the importance of authenticity. Although she didn’t write the songs herself, she took an active role in crafting the EP’s overall direction, working closely with producers to ensure her essence came through.
“Unfortunately, I don’t have the talent na mag-write,” she shared honestly. “So I’m very thankful and grateful for the writers of the Star Pop family and Sir Rox [Santos] as well.”
The EP includes her viral singles “FR FR” and “Nonchalant,” as well as “Dulo ng Bahaghari,” a heartfelt track penned by Star Pop label head Rox Santos. Across the album, Chloe’s vocal versatility and emotional sincerity take the spotlight, showcasing a depth that goes beyond her online fame.
When asked how she wants to be remembered, Chloe replied without hesitation: “To be remembered as someone who always speaks for themself. Authentic — pag nakita talaga si Chloe, ‘sobrang surprisingly pleasant talaga.’”
Chloe also expressed gratitude not only to her supporters but to her critics as well. “I’m also grateful for them. Kung hindi din sila gumawa ng ingay along with the supporters, we wouldn’t be here,” she said. “Thank you, good or bad, it’s a blessing. It just depends on how you look at things.”
Adding a personal and heartwarming moment to the launch was the appearance of Chloe’s boyfriend, Olympic gymnast Carlos Yulo. The two-time gold medalist showed his support, saying, “Sobrang proud ako sa ginagawa niya para sa dream and career niya… Ito na rin yung pagbibigay ng suporta sa kanya kasi nauna siya suportahan ako.”
CHLOE ANJELEIGH… For Real is now available on all major streaming platforms.
