
Disney+ just dropped fresh stills of Ji Chang Wook and Doh Kyung Soo suited up in character for their much-anticipated thriller, The Manipulated!
On 23 May, according to Soompi, Walt Disney Company Korea held a “Disney+ Open House” event at its Gangnam HQ in Seoul, teasing fans with a sneak peek of its upcoming K-drama slate for the latter half of 2025.
One of the most buzzworthy titles? The Manipulated—a high-stakes revenge drama headlined by Ji Chang Wook, Doh Kyung Soo, Lee Kwang Soo, and Jo Yoon Soo. The series is written by Oh Sang Ho, the mastermind behind Taxi Driverand The Roundup: Punishment (The Outlaws 4).
The plot follows Tae Joong, a seemingly ordinary man whose life takes a dark turn when he’s falsely accused and imprisoned for a brutal crime. The twist is his downfall was meticulously planned by none other than Yo Han.
Ji Chang Wook known for his roles in Healer, The K2, and Suspicious Partner stars as Tae Joong, whose peaceful life crumbles when he’s framed for murder. As he uncovers the truth, he sets his sights on revenge against the mastermind who orchestrated it all.
That mastermind is Yo Han, played by Doh Kyung Soo—better known as EXO’s D.O. who’s built a strong acting rep through acclaimed dramas and films like 100 Days My Prince, Bad Prosecutor, and Along With the Gods. In The Manipulated, he takes on a darker role as a cold, calculating puppeteer behind the chaos.
The Manipulated is set to premiere on Disney+ in the second half of 2025.
