Even after the network producing the podcast Machong Chismisan canceled the controversial online show, various personalities and organizations publicly expressed their disgust over what they perceived as the mockery of Josh Aquino. Although two of the show’s online hosts have apologized, the issue, we believe, is far from over.

Amid the brouhaha, there are still two personalities the public is waiting to hear from — Josh’s parents, Kris Aquino and Phillip Salvador — whose deafening silence has been as baffling as it is intriguing.

Aquino’s old video about protecting her family and children has resurfaced amid the controversy, making it clear that she would go to great lengths to protect her family’s legacy and her children’s welfare.

“If it’s the integrity of my family, if it’s my children, or the legacy of my parents, be ready for a fight. Be ready for a fight,” Aquino said in an old video.

Now, Aquino’s supporters are clamoring for the Queen of Talk to walk her talk and sue the online hosts who allegedly mocked her son.

“Hey, sissy Kris. For the love of God, please sue them! They really have no mercy. They won’t get their act together unless someone makes the first move,” one fan said.

Another supporter agreed, saying: “Clout chasing at its finest. Those wannabe podcasters are so funny with what they did. So go ahead and sue them, Krissy!”

On the other hand, netizens have called on Phillip Salvador to speak up and defend his son, Josh.

One netizen wrote: “Calling Philip Salvador, this time stand for Josh… your son…”

Another commented: “Hoy, step up naman diyan, Philip Salvador (Hey, step up already, Philip Salvador).”

Netizens urge Dylan Menor to ask MVP for lower electricity prices

We were amused by the reaction of netizens after a photo and video showed PLDT president and CEO Manny V. Pangilinan presenting a bouquet of flowers to TV5 singer-actor Dylan Menor.

Some netizens jokingly suggested that Menor ask Pangilinan to use his influence to bring down electricity rates.

“Dylan, come on. If the government can’t do it, maybe you can sweet-talk MVP into lowering electricity prices and speeding up the internet,” one fan said.

Echoing the same request, another fan wrote: “Can you ask MVP to lower the electricity bill?”

“Dylan, all we really want is just one small request. Maybe we can remove the system loss and lower the charges. Hahahahaha, come on now,” another fan said.
