Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) Secretary Hans Cacdac announced Thursday that he will step down from his post.
This is in line with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.,’s directive for all Cabinet secretaries to submit their courtesy resignations.
In a statement, Cacdac emphasized his role as a member of the President’s official family, acknowledging that he serves at the pleasure of the Chief Executive.
“I therefore humbly heed the call for courtesy resignation, which I shall submit immediately today,” he said.
According to the President, the move aims to ‘recalibrate’ his administration following the midterm election results.
Cacdac was appointed as DMW Secretary in August 2024 by the Commission on Appointments.
