Megastar Sharon Cuneta got an emotional surprise this Mother’s Day, as her eldest daughter KC Concepcion gifted her with a deeply personal present that left the veteran actress speechless.
On Sunday, 11 May, Sharon took to Instagram to share her appreciation and love for KC, who sent her an extravagant bouquet of flowers, a custom-designed pair of earrings, and two handwritten letters. The gesture, filled with thought and symbolism, moved the actress to tears.
“My KC @kristinaconcepcion sent me these flowers (garden na ang dami eh! 😂) and these beautiful earrings with the most beautiful pearls and four hearts representing my four babies!!! The messages on the cards are so special to me, too. Thank you, Toot! I love you so much,” Sharon wrote in her caption.
The Instagram gallery featured photos of the floral arrangements, the intricately crafted pearl earrings, and the heartfelt notes from KC — each piece brimming with love and intention.
KC, who launched her jewelry line Avec Moi in 2018, draws inspiration from Parisian elegance and sentimental memories, including those of her late grandmother, Elaine Cuneta. The earrings she gave her mother carried a special meaning, which she detailed in her second letter:
“Dearest Mama, I designed these earrings for you as a symbol of the love we share, and the glue that keeps your four children's bond in you. Each heart represents each one of us, always close to you. May this pair of earrings always remind you of the joy and unconditional love that surrounds you.”
The first note was equally touching:
“Dearest Mama Love, Happy Mother's Day! I love you more than words can ever say! Stay beautiful today and always!”
In 2024, KC opened up about a meaningful year-end conversation she had with Sharon, expressing hope for a more peaceful and loving relationship moving forward.
KC is Sharon’s only daughter with actor Gabby Concepcion. The two married in 1984 but had their marriage annulled in 1993. Sharon later married former senator Kiko Pangilinan, with whom she has three children: Frankie, Miel, and Miguel.
