Sharon Cuneta celebrates KC's Birthday while supporting Kiko Pangilinan's campaign

Megastar Sharon Cuneta once again showed that a mother’s love knows no bounds as she chose to spend a special day with her daughter KC Concepcion, even experiencing discomfort, instead of attending her husband Kiko Pangilinan’s campaign rally in Bulacan.

In a social media post, Sharon explained her absence from the senatorial campaign event held on 8 April, saying she had started feeling unwell the day before. Despite vomiting and feeling weak, she still pushed through with her plans to surprise KC at their favorite resort to celebrate her birthday.

“Even before I went to surprise my daughter KC, I started vomiting,” she revealed. “But I still flew to spend at least a night with her.”

The beloved screen veteran shared an intimate glimpse into their celebration, recalling how she could barely eat during KC’s birthday dinner. “I’m sorry again all I could do was lay on your bed and banyo, but sleeping beside you again after forever was heaven to Mama!” Sharon wrote, pairing warmth with her signature humor.

She lovingly greeted KC on her special day with a post filled with motherly affection and nostalgia, listing off a string of playful nicknames—“Kace, Tina, Kitina, Kachuchay, Chuchay, Cucay, Katutay, Tutay, Tuttut, Tutti, Toot”—each one representing years of cherished memories.

The following day, Sharon flew home still unwell, experiencing more vomiting episodes even during the flight. Upon returning, she had blood tests done at home instead of going to the hospital. Fortunately, the results came back normal. She attributed the episode to dehydration and stress. “I’ve been drinking Pocari Sweat and taking Erceflora. I haven’t thrown up since lying down yesterday,” she said. “But I’m still afraid to stand too long because that’s when I get dizzy.”

Sharon offered a heartfelt apology to those who attended the rally and expressed gratitude for the concern shown by Kiko. “He said my health is more important. But still, I’m really sorry,” she shared.

In 2024, KC shared that she and her mother had a meaningful conversation to end the year, expressing hope for a stronger and smoother relationship moving forward.

Through her candid post, Sharon reminded fans of the delicate balance between public duty and personal love, and how even in moments of weakness, a mother’s heart stays strong.
