A 41-year-old man tagged as the most wanted person for rape in Muntinlupa City was arrested by policemen.
A report from the Southern Police District (SPD) showed that personnel from the District Mobile Force Battalion arrested the accused, identified as alias “Goryo,” within Carzo Compound, San Roque, Barangay Alabang.
The suspect, a driver, was apprehended based on a non-bailable warrant of arrest for two counts of rape issued by Presiding Judge Wehrly Gutierrez-Mendez of the Muntinlupa City Family Court Branch 8 on 22 April.
Goryo is currently detained at the Muntinlupa police’s custodial facility pending the return of the warrant to the court.
Brig. Gen. Joseph Arguelles, director of the SPD, said they are closely monitoring the case and remain fully committed to transparency, fairness and a timely resolution.
He said they appreciate the community’s patience and continued trust as they move forward in their campaign against criminals in their area of jurisdiction.
