Fire engulfs Tondo neighborhood

Residents salvage the remains of their homes that were ravaged by a fire that broke out in a residential area during the early hours of the night in Barangay 123, Tondo, Manila, on Wednesday, 23 April 2025. The fire quickly escalated within the community, prompting the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) to raise Task Force Charlie at 3:34 AM before it was eventually extinguished at 7:09 AM. Authorities reported that at least 500 houses were affected and around 1,500 families were displaced.
