Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, along with fellow senatorial candidates from the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino (PDP), held a massive motorcade in Cagayan de Oro City on Monday, 14 April, in a show of unity and commitment to public service.

The event drew large crowds of cheering supporters who rallied behind the candidates, many of whom are aligned with the leadership style of former president Rodrigo Duterte.

“Ipaglalaban naming lahat sa PDP ang ikabubuti ng Mindanao tulad ng ipinaglaban ni Tatay Digong. Ipagdasal po natin ang kaniyang kalusugan, kaligtasan, at kalayaan,” Go declared during the motorcade.

(“We, in the PDP, will fight for what is best for Mindanao, just as Tatay Digong did. Let us pray for his health, safety, and freedom.”)

Go was joined by fellow PDP senatorial candidates Senator Ronald "Bato" dela Rosa, Philip “Ipe” Salvador, Atty. Jimmy Bondoc, Atty. Vic Rodriguez, Atty. Jayvee Hinlo, Atty. Raul Lambino, Dr. Richard Mata, and representatives of Congressman Atty. Rodante Marcoleta and Pastor Apollo Quiboloy.

“Maraming salamat po sa inyong suporta. Makakaasa po kayo na kami ay patuloy na mag seserbisyo sa abot ng aming makakaya,” Go added.

(“Thank you very much for your support. You can be assured that we will continue to serve to the best of our ability.”)

As chairperson of the Senate Committee on Health and Demography, Go reaffirmed his commitment to accessible healthcare, highlighting the success of the Malasakit Centers initiative under Republic Act No. 11463, of which he is the principal author and sponsor. Currently, there are 167 operational centers nationwide, including three in Misamis Oriental.

Go also pointed to the construction of over 700 Super Health Centers nationwide, with 17 located in Misamis Oriental. He led the turnover of one such facility in Tagoloan on the same day.

He further cited the "Regional Specialty Centers Act" (RA 11959), which he co-authored and sponsored, mandating the creation of specialized medical units in all Department of Health regional hospitals.

Beyond infrastructure, the candidates engaged with local residents, supporting small vendors and encouraging the community to uplift the local economy.

"Mga kababayan ko, minsan lang tayo dadaan sa mundong ito. Kung ano pong kabutihan o tulong na pwede natin gawin, gawin na po natin ngayon. Dahil hindi na tayo babalik sa mundong ito," Go said.

("My fellow countrymen, we only pass through this world once. Whatever good or help we can offer, let us do it now — because we won’t pass this way again.")

Following the motorcade, Go also participated in a PDP rally held in El Salvador, Misamis Oriental.
