
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga is set to hold the 3rd Manyaman Festival and Filipino Food Month Celebration here 23 to 29 April.
According to the Arts, Culture and Tourism Office of Pampanga, the 3rd Manyaman Festival and Filipino Food Month Celebration aims to celebrate culinary heritage, culture and the community of Pampanga.
The tourism office said that the week-long celebration “highlights the rich and diverse culinary identity and prowess of the Kapampangan people! With a delightful blend of food expos, farm immersions, cook-offs, and cultural showcases, there’s something for every foodie, farmer and film enthusiasts.”
On 23 April, the Kapampangan: A Kapampangan Food Exposition event will be held at the Rainwater Park, Megaworld Capital Town Pampanga. The event aims to showcase iconic Kapampangan dishes and local food products.
From 23 to 25 April, an Agri-Business Trade Fair will also be held at the Rainwater Park, Megaworld Capital Town Pampanga, which aims to support local farmers, entrepreneurs and agri-based businesses in this three-day trade fair spotlighting homegrown produce and innovations.
From 25 to 28 April, the “Ing Bie Marangle” of A Farm Tourism Site Tour & Immersion will be held at the Diaspora Farm Resort, GrassRoots & Co. Farms, St. Isidore the FARMer, R.O Valerio Integrated Farm. “Tourists can experience the bounty of Pampanga’s farmlands and connect with sustainable living through immersive farm tours,” the tourism office stated.
On 29 April, the Ortelano at Ing Asikan Farmers’ Congress will be held at the Benigno Aquino Hall, with the aim of gathering local agricultural heroes, discussing best practices, challenges and the future of farming in the province.
Also on 29 April, the Manyaman Pampanga: A Grand Cook-Off will be held at the SM City Pampanga Event Center, as tourists will witness culinary talents go head-to-head in an exciting showdown of traditional and modern Kapampangan cooking.
There will also be a launching of "CUISINEMA: Pampanga Short Film Festival" at the SM City Pampanga Event Center. The festival aims to put a spotlight on the stories behind the flavors in this unique film festival that captures Pampanga’s rich culinary narrative on screen.
