CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga — The Provincial Government of Pampanga recently honored seven of its centenarians, presenting each with a P100,000 cash incentive and a certificate of recognition.
The event, led by Vice Governor Lilia “Nanay” Pineda, celebrated the invaluable contributions of these elders to the province. The distribution was held in accordance with Provincial Ordinance No. 683, also known as the “Centenarian Act.”
Among the honored centenarians was Lola Maria Pineda of Porac, who expressed deep gratitude for the support.
She shared that the cash incentive will significantly assist with her medical expenses and daily living needs. This sentiment was echoed by other recipients, highlighting the tangible impact of the program.
Vice Governor Pineda was joined by Board Members Fritzie David-Dizon, Sajid Khan Eusoof, Pol Balingit, and Cherry Manalo, along with Acting PSWDO Fe Manarang, in expressing their appreciation for Pampanga’s esteemed elders.
The initiative underscores the Provincial Government’s unwavering commitment to its senior citizens, celebrating their vital role in shaping Pampanga’s rich history and bright future.
“The P700,000 investment represents more than just financial aid; it’s a testament to the province’s deep respect for our elders and their enduring legacy,” Pineda stressed.
