Operatives of the Makati City Police Station arrested a murder suspect in an intensified manhunt operation.
The suspect, identified as alias Wilson, 27 years old and unemployed, was arrested at around 3:40 p.m. on 11 April 2025 along Kalayaan Avenue, Barangay Olympia, Makati City by elements of the Warrant and Subpoena Unit led by PCol. Jean I. Dela Torre.
The suspect was taken into custody by virtue of a warrant of arrest for murder, issued by Hon. Mariam Guzon Bien, Presiding Judge of RTC Branch 153, Taguig City, under Criminal Case No. 8807, dated 12 November 2024, with no bail recommended.
The accused was properly informed of the charges against him and of his constitutional rights. He is now under the custody of the Makati CPS while waiting for the warrant of arrest to be returned to the court of origin.
PBGEN Joseph R. Arguelles, Acting District Director of the Southern Police District (SPD), lauded the successful operation, stating:
"The arrest of a wanted individual for a capital offense such as murder is a direct reflection of our relentless pursuit of justice and our commitment to protect our communities. I commend the Makati City Police Station for their swift action, professionalism, and adherence to the rule of law in carrying out this high-impact operation."
