P16-M Muntinlupa warehouse robbery suspects fall

Police have arrested two suspected robbers in separate operations in Rizal and Pampanga following the theft of P16 million worth of jewelry, luxury items and cash from a commercial warehouse in Muntinlupa City, authorities announced Tuesday.
The Southern Police District (SPD) said tracking teams used closed-circuit television footage, GPS data, and inter-unit intelligence sharing to trace the suspects nearly four weeks after nine men raided a clothing warehouse that also serves as a residence in Barangay Putatan.
“We have arrested two suspects, and we are continuing our manhunt for the remaining seven so they can face justice,” SPD director Brig. Gen. Rodel Pastor said.
Law enforcement authorities identified the arrested men as alias “Apher,” an unemployed resident of Taguig City and alias “Jeff,” a businessman also residing in Taguig.
Police apprehended Apher in Tanay, Rizal, where officers impounded two getaway vehicles linked to the crime. Authorities arrested Jeff during a separate follow-up operation in Pampanga.
Investigators recovered a portion of the stolen belongings, though police did not publicly detail the specific items or their monetary value.
