Suspected drug pusher nabbed

ILIGAN CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested a suspected drug pusher and seized 405 grams of suspected shabu worth an estimated P2.754 million in a buy-bust operation in Iligan City on Friday.

The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-10 (PDEA-10) conducted the operation at around 12:28 p.m. at the Iligan Bus and Jeepney Terminal in Tambo, Hinaplanon.

Authorities said operatives purchased three packets of suspected shabu weighing 405 grams from the suspect, identified only by the alias “Sultan.”

The suspect reportedly claimed that he had merely been instructed to deliver the illegal drugs.

He was brought to the PDEA regional office in El Salvador City, Misamis Oriental, for drug testing, investigation and proper disposition.

Authorities said the suspect would face charges for alleged violations of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
