Freeport Area of Bataan — The Authority of the Freeport Area of Bataan (AFAB) and iWave Advanced Research Group Inc. (IWAR) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on 27 March to enhance supply chain operations in the province.
The MoU formalizes their partnership to identify joint projects and create a strategic framework that promotes growth and innovation in the area. The signing ceremony was held at the AFAB Board Room, led by AFAB administrator and CEO Hussein P. Pangandaman and IWAR president and CEO Marco Antonio R. Urera.
AFAB continues to leverage the strategic location, infrastructure and business incentives of the Freeport Area of Bataan to foster an ecosystem where both traditional industries and next-generation businesses can thrive.
Pangandaman explained that the collaboration aligns with AFAB’s ongoing efforts to advance the Freeport’s digital integration of its supply chain operations, creating a future-ready business environment.
“IWAR specializes in providing a global trading exchange platform, offering FinTech products and services, along with software, managed support services, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and other IT services,” Pangandaman added.
Finance Secretary Ralph G. Recto encouraged global investors at the InvestPH 2025 event by the Philippine Stock Exchange to consider the Philippines, highlighting that now is the time, the country is the place, and Filipinos are the right partners for business success.
